Today Outernet Global Ltd announced a landmark deal with leading display manufacturer AOTO. The partnership will see the creation of a series of screens at Outernet London that will deliver the largest LED screen deployment by pixel density on the planet.

The 8K, 360 degree floor-to-ceiling screens mean Outernet London can create truly extraordinary digital moments for brands and other media partners. Visitors will enjoy stunning HDR content at a scale that has never been seen before with the clearest picture available on the market.

In the heart of London’s busiest shopping district and the hub of the city’s Crossrail high-capacity rail network, Outernet London will amplify the cultural power of Soho and the musical heritage of Denmark Street, a beacon for British music. Every day, commuters, Londoners and tourists will enjoy captivating new experiences as Outernet London broadcasts specially curated content. The campus will also feature a 2,000 capacity live events space and two smaller venues, Rock N Roll hotel ‘Chateau Denmark’ plus retail and independent restaurants and bars.

Phillip O’Ferrall, CEO Outernet, said:

“Outernet London will be different to any kind of brand experience the public have ever had. To make that happen we needed the power to deliver beautiful and impactful digital content. We're delighted that AOTO will be our display manufacturing partner for our London site. They have vast experience in narrow pixel pitch LED display which will be vital in delivering the highly immersive experience we are going to achieve with our enormous display canvas. These screens let us create a media environment like no other giving visitors a reason to return again and again and really engage with what they see every time.”

Outernet London is utilising an outdoor-rated sub 3mm premium full-video AOTO LED display across its London site including all semi-outdoor zones. Next generation video processing is via AOTO 64K video processors, offering 10bit HDR YCC4:4:4 @60Hz to give an ultra-high contrast display which can be highly customised to meet client demands.
