Discover The Spaces In-Between. Interactive Art Driven by Body Movement
Our first interactive body movement artwork launched across the Outernet in February 2023 with a different experience in each of our spaces. Created by immersive experience studio Pixel Artworks with visual light artist Rupert Newman, The Spaces In-Between enables visitors to sync their body movements with a breath-taking digital light artwork on the largest digital canvas in the world.
As you move, so will the digital screens, making the artwork genuinely interactive. Visitors will benefit from a multi-sensory experience of art that pulls them away from everyday distractions and activities.
‘Spaces In-Between’ consists of three artworks: ‘Tessellations’ and ‘Transcendence’, which will transport visitors through a digital natural world, and ‘A Step Beyond’. With this interactive experience, geometric shapes respond to every body move.
Accompanying audio by British composer Sarah Warne (Channel 4’s Humans, BBC’s Time and ITV’s Des) enhances the feeling of being enveloped in a full-body experience.
Implemented by Pixel Artworks, artist Rupert Newman’s creative comes to life across the entire Outernet district, the largest digital exhibition space in Europe, from The Now Arcade – a 21-meter-long LED tunnel, through to Now Trending and the Now Building – four storeys high, 360-degree wraparound LED screens.
